Hello there! I am Russell Cunha (Koon-Ya) owner of 3B Mortgage Brokers and a native Texan who was
born and raised in Fort Worth. My amazing wife Amy and I have been married for 26 years. We met in Fort Worth while I was attending TCU and shorty after we were married, we found out that my wife needed surgery for a pre-cancerous condition. The doctors told us “If you are going to have children, you need to have them now.” So college was put on hold and within the next several years God blessed us with a son and a daughter and Amy was given a clean bill of health. Praise God! I went back to school and earned a BS degree in Business from Dallas Baptist University.
Amy’s family is from Carthage, Texas where they have lived for generations. In 2007 her grandmother, Annie Ross Hunt, passed away and her dad, Dr. Harry Hunt Jr., 
retired from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he was a professor of Old Testament and Semitic Languages. Her mom, Patricia Hunt, retired from teaching school in Fort Worth. Her parents were moving back to Carthage to be among their family and many friends that they went to Carthage HS with. But after Thanksgiving, while working on his family farm, Harry was involved in an accident while using an auger. As a result, Harry lost his left arm, was paralyzed from the waist down and would require assisted living for the rest of his life. Pat was left wondering how she would care for her disabled husband and take care of the farm. So Amy and I packed up our little family, sold the house, and in 2008 we took a leap of faith and moved to the farm in Carthage. We feel so incredibly 
blessed to have been able to raise our kids on the family farm.
I love our little farmhouse in the woods and so I have chosen to make my office here out of my home. This enables me more productive time working between the farm and the business, less overhead, and more availability. I am a full time Mortgage Loan Originator/Broker providing excellent service to all my clients and realtor partners. I treat everyone like family 
and will give you the honest truth. I love helping and guiding buyers through the home mortgage process, getting their loan closed on time, and providing exceptional communication throughout the entire transaction. With the technology all homeowners have now, and e-sign at our fingertips, this allows me to jump over and work real estate financing whenever needed. This also allows me to provide my services to anyone wanting to purchase a home in the great state of Texas. Whether at home or on the road, I am equipped and ready to work.
We are animal lovers and our farm has quite the menagerie! Horses, cows, mini horses, mini 
donkeys, dogs, and cats. We love them all so much and they are ALL rescues. Not to be left out are all the chickens, ducks, geese, guineas, and a turkey that we have had over the years. When I do have leisure time, I enjoy spending it with my family playing board games, cooking out, fishing, and playing my guitars. Amy refers to me as “Her nerd” because of my affinity for Star Wars and my collection of vintage Star Wars toys from 1978-1985. What can I say? It’s cheaper than a Starbucks addiction!
